Athena graduated from the University of Sheffield with a First-class degree in Philosophy before completing the Graduate Diploma in Law with Distinction.

She completed LLM in Legal Practice at Northumbria University, receiving a Distinction and the Faculty Pro-Vice Chancellor Award for exceptional results.

Athena joined the firm in February 2022 and worked as a paralegal in the Wallsend Family team for two years before taking a gap year in which she worked in Spain teaching English and spent time travelling in South America.
